This past Saturday saw the rise of antisemitism and hate invade Dallas, TX. An armed Muslim named Malik Faisal Akram, 44, of Blackburn, England invaded a synagogue and took several members of the community and their rabbi hostage. While he did eventually let them go unharmed, he was no longer alive when he was to be apprehended. This is not surprising, but it would have been useful to know more about the reasons for his attacks.
Breitbart News reported “During a press conference later that night, FBI Special Agent in Charge Matthew DeSarno said the rescue came as the result of “a long, long day of hard work by nearly 200 law enforcement officers from across the region.” DeSarno said the FBI has identified the now-deceased suspect but said they were not prepared to release his identity Saturday night. He also would not go into the details of the hostage-taker’s motivation. “We do believe that, from engaging with the subject, he was singularly focused on one issue, and it was not specifically related to the Jewish community. We will continue to work to find motives and we will continue on that path in terms of the resolution of the incident.”
This statement of nothing is mindboggling. It is known that Akram demanded Aafia Siddiqui, also known as “Lady Al-Qaeda” be immediately released. She is a convicted Islamic terrorist who attempted to kill U.S. soldiers and is currently serving an 86-year sentence just down the road in Ft Worth, TX. She has numerous ties to various violent Islamic factions.
So let’s look at this at face value. We have an armed Muslim storming a synagogue on Shabbos (or Shabbat), taking members of this Jewish community hostage as well as their Rabbi. He is demanding the release of an extremist, antisemitic, and well-known Islamic radical woman. The evidence of this being a hate crime and racially motivated is so strong that it is glowing under the Texas sun.
Yet somehow the FBI refuses to own up to the evidence. Much like everything else, they refuse to condemn anyone but the white man. Interestingly enough, the British do not feel that way. They acknowledged that they arrested his two teenaged sons in connection with the attack, and acknowledged that they had been in touch with him during the standoff. While diplomats cautioned against making connections, England gives their police a generous allowance on detaining people during times of terrorism.
As racially motivated attacks here in America are on the rise we have to ask ourselves when will the FBI wake up and smell the coffee? The mentality that only white people can be racist or commit hate crimes is over. They are allowing numerous organizations to parade around as if they stand for something great when all they stand for is hate. The only qualification they need to be allowed to be let go is to not be a majority of white males.
Given their racist past, the FBI has gone too far in the other direction in the hopes of appearing woke. The idea that people can only be victims if the attacker is a white male has gotten too far inside their plans. Instead of a blanket mindset, they need to go back to take each case as its own investigation, and when there is a clear racial motivation to the attacks – like we see here, file appropriate charges. Not just turn a blind eye to it.
