The party that declared “no one is above the law” during their relentless crusade against President Trump is now in full-blown panic mode—because one of their own is being held accountable. Rep. LaMonica McIver (D-NJ) has officially been charged with assault and obstruction after allegedly attacking two federal officers during a chaotic confrontation at an ICE detention facility last month.

According to the charging documents, McIver, joined by two other New Jersey lawmakers, forcibly entered the Delaney Hall Detention Facility in Newark and physically assaulted both a Homeland Security Investigations agent and an ICE officer. The report says McIver “pushed an ICE officer and used her forearms to forcibly strike the agent.”

Let that sink in: a sitting member of Congress physically attacking federal law enforcement agents—and the video reportedly confirms it.

BlazeTV host Sara Gonzales didn’t hold back in her response on “Sara Gonzales Unfiltered.” “Yes, Congresswoman, nobody is above the law,” she said. “Remember that line? The one the Left beat like a drum to justify every political prosecution of Trump? Well, now the shoe’s on the other foot.”

She pointed to the obvious hypocrisy: “Donald Trump gets 91 indictments and 34 felony counts for allegedly mislabeling business records and storing classified documents—something Joe Biden also did, by the way, in his garage, where his crackhead son had access.”

Now that the legal spotlight has shifted, Democrats are crying foul, calling it fascism and political persecution. But conservatives aren’t buying it.

“If a normal citizen did what McIver did—pushing federal agents—they’d be behind bars right now,” BlazeTV’s Pat Gray said. “You can easily make the assault case here. And for once, it looks like they’re doing exactly that.”

Gray also hit the Left for its transparent double standard. “We heard a million times, ‘no one is above the law,’” he said. “So yeah, I don’t think they’ve got any room to complain on this.”

The incident at Delaney Hall wasn’t some misunderstanding—it was a coordinated political stunt that crossed the line into violence, and now it’s being treated as the crime it is. Yet the same people who demanded Trump be thrown in jail for “falsifying business records” are outraged that McIver might face consequences for physically assaulting law enforcement.

If you’re wondering where the media outrage is—don’t. The mainstream press is already framing the charges as a partisan hit job, ignoring the facts laid out in black and white. But the double standard couldn’t be more obvious.

This case may be the first real test of whether the rule of law applies equally—or only when it benefits the Left. McIver’s defenders are scrambling, but the charges are serious. And this time, it’s not about tweets or documents—it’s about violence against officers of the law.

For years, the Left weaponized the legal system to go after Trump and his allies. Now, the same system is coming for them—and they don’t like it one bit.

The truth? This isn’t about politics. It’s about principle. And if the law is to mean anything, it must apply to everyone—including Democrats in power.
